Charles Hubert Murphy, 73, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, surrounded by his family and friends.
Charlie was a faithful member of the Honestville Baptist Church. He loved his family with all his heart, he loved to hear good gospel preaching and loved to worship with his family and church family. He loved to praise the Lord.
He was preceeded in death by his mother Beatrice Millaway Murphy; his father Hubert Murphy; his grandparents; and several uncles and aunts.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 54 years Marion Mysinger Murphy; daughter Lillian Morfield (William); son Michael Murphy (Becky); grandchildren Amber Morfield, Angel Murphy and Aaron Murphy; one great- grandchild Wiley Murphy; brother Dewayne Murphy (Annalee); three sisters Linda Murphy Cook, Alice Murphy Taylor (Dennis) and Debbie Murphy Scroggins (Junior); sister-in-law Peggy Mysinger Black; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 26, at Honestville Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN at 3 p.m., with Wayne Murphy and Greg Banther officiating. Following the service on Sunday the family and friends will process to Johnston Cemetery in Meigs County.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, and from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at the church.
