Lee University will welcome author Gabe Lyons to Alternative Chapel this Thursday at 10:40 a.m. in the Conn Center.

Mr. Lyons is the co-author of “Good Faith” and “unChristian,” as well as the author of “The Next Christians.” He is also the founder of Q, a learning community of Christian leaders equipped to engage the cultural movement. Q equips Christians to apply their faith to daily life by addressing some of the most difficult and controversial issues of our time. Lyons speaks to over 100,000 people each year on topics of equipping the next generation, cultural issues, and research related to the intersection of faith and public life.

“Gabe Lyons is an articulate voice of reason and faith in a complex culture,” said Dr. Mike Hayes, vice president for student development at Lee. “He is passionate about advocating an authentic, informed faith in spite of the tensions and challenges that come along with living like Christ today.”

Mr. Lyons will discuss thoughts related to his book, “Good Faith,” which invites fellow Christians to understand the heart behind opposing views and show them how to be loving, life-giving friends despite profound differences.

The service will conclude this semester’s Alternative Chapel theme, “Revolution of Hope.”

"Our students will be inspired and challenged to live out their callings with confidence and relevance,” said Dr. Hayes.

The event is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.  For those not able to attend, the service will be live streamed at https://livestream.com/leeu.  For more information about this or other chapel services, visit http://www.leeuniversity.edu/chapel/ or call Campus Ministries at 614-8420.
