William Waldrop
William Arthur Waldrop, 70, of Chickamauga, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Mr. Waldrop was born in Stevenson, Al., to his parents, Guss and Alice Barbee Waldrop.
William was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia are and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Waldrop served his country faithfully during the Viet Nam conflict from 1966 to 1968.
Survivors include his wife of over 46 years Peggy Waldrop; children, Wayne (Wendy) Waldrop, Todd (Ashley) Waldrop and Christie (Jack) Suttles; grandchildren, Caleb Suttles, Christian Suttles, Will Waldrop and Aubrey Waldrop.
The funeral will be on Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. in the chapel the visitation will be on Wednesday, from 4-9 p.m. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home.
