Gay, Anna Kay Jack (Englewood)

Anna Kay Jack Gay, 78, of Englewood,  Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017 at her residence. 

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. she was the daughter of the late Frank and Laura Bell Morgan Jack and a member of the Athens Free Saints Holiness Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Mendiolia, Margaret Ellison and Eva Ledford; brothers, Burnice and Hershel Jack; and a great-grandson, Canon Sawyer Jack.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Roy Gay of Englewood; daughter, Lisa Chrisman and husband Bobby of Englewood; son Stacy and wife Debbie Gay of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Kelly Land and husband Michael C. Land of Englewood, Haley Daggett and husband Aaron of Ten Mile and Lily Gay of Ten Mile; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Buff and Whittney Buff of Englewood;  brother, Paul Jack and wife Beverly of Lebanon TN; and special friends, Frank and Clara Cochran; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Anna Kay Gay will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Athens Free Saints Holiness Church will Brother Charles Swicegood and Brother Bill Hicks officiating.

Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at McMinn Memory Gardens with her nephews serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Athens Free Saints Holiness Church prior to the service.

Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
