Gene Fetzer, 85, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Fetzer; parents, Ollie and Zula Mae Fetzer; sisters, Patricia McKissick and Thelma Bazzell; brother, Larry Fetzer; sisters-in-law, Frances Fetzer and Shirley Fetzer; and brothers-in-law, Clyde Smith, Wallace Cooper and Bob Dixon.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mike Arthur of Cohutta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy Diane and Gerald Rowland of Dalton and Frances and J.V. Williams of Cohutta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Bentley Fetzer, Sr. of Dalton, Ronald and Irana Fetzer of Cohutta, Charles and Judy Fetzer of Cohutta and Fielding and Judy Fetzer of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Debbie Fetzer, Eva Dixon and Opal Cooper, all of Dalton and Lynn Cooper of Varnell; and beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 31, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Dalton 1st United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Willingham. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Dalton 1st United Methodist Church on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
