Southeast Tennessee Veterans Coalition and Friends of the Festival have teamed up with Aspen Dental’s MouthMobile to provide free dental care to veterans. The MouthMobile will arrive in Chattanooga at Ross’s Landing on Thursday, March 16. Chattanooga is one of 34-stops that the MouthMobile is making across the country. Appointment times are required; veterans may call Bill Chapman at 423-756-2212 or email bill.setnvetcoal@gmail.com.
The MouthMobile is Aspen Dental’s 42 foot long dental office on wheels. It travels state to state giving veterans the dental care they need for a healthy mouth at no cost. Since 2014, Aspen Dental practices across the country have donated over $7.5 million in dentistry and helped more than 12,000 veterans as part of the Healthy Mouth Movement. The Healthy Mouth Movement includes both the MouthMobile and a nationwide day of service, when Aspen Dental practices across the country open their doors on a designated Saturday to provide free care to veterans.
“I am honored to be a part of giving back to our veterans…I feel like it is a small gesture to give them free dental work one day a year when they risk their lives for me and my family. I am proud and blessed to be an American and am forever indebted to our military men and women …I am excited and looking forward to serving as many veterans as possible on the Aspen Dental MouthMobile and truly believe in what Aspen Dental is doing for America,” said Dr. Ashley Boling who is the Aspen Dental doctor that will provide care on the MouthMobile in Chattanooga.
“As a veteran and some 120 days before the second anniversary of July 16, 2015, with Chattanooga emotions so patriotic, the Veterans Coalition is most pleased to be a part of providing a service so needed by veterans”, said retired U. S. Navy Captain Mickey McCamish, Coalition Chairman.
“What an honor for Friends of the Festival at the site that we produced Chattanooga Unite, brought LST 325 and the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial Wall to now host the Aspen Dental MouthMobile for veterans” said Chip Baker, Executive Director, and Friends of the Festival.
