Luken Announces The Return Of Larry's Country Diner And Country's Family Reunion To Heartland Lineup

  • Wednesday, March 8, 2017
Luken Communications, LLC and The Heartland Network, LLC, in cooperation with Gabriel Communications, announce the return of Larry’s Country Diner and Country’s Family Reunion to Heartland’s programming lineup.  Larry’s Country Diner will air on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Country’s Family Reunion: Lookin’ Back will air on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Both series are set to launch on Heartland the week of March 27.

Larry’s Country Diner, a down-home variety series combining entertainment, interviews, and music in a weekly format, is taped live with a studio audience in an authentic country diner setting.
Along with regular characters such as disc jockey and host Larry Black, Keith Bilbrey, Sheriff Jimmy Capps, Waitress Renae and avid church lady Nadine, the series also boasts a special guest lineup comprised of country music artists of the past and present.  Guests to be featured in Larry’s Country Diner on Heartland include country legends such as Gary Morris, Ray Stevens, The Grascals, Bill Anderson, Jan Howard, and many more.

Country’s Family Reunion was born from a simple idea: Ask the legends who shaped country music to get together, tell their stories, and maybe sing a few songs. Since the success of that first original taping with over 30 country music legends, more than a dozen other special series of Country’s Family Reunion have been created featuring hundreds of songs and stories. Joining the Heartland lineup will be Country’s Family Reunion: Lookin’ Back.  This collection features some of the greatest segments throughout the 15-year history of Country’s Family Reunion.  Whisperin’ Bill Anderson, along with producer Larry Black, share stories and stroll down memory lane with hundreds of country music legends.

“These shows represent everything people love about country music: fun, fellowship, and family,” said Adam Black, CEO of Gabriel Communications. “Gabriel Communications is proud to partner with Luken Communications once again to bring these iconic series back to the Heartland audience.”

Terri Coyle, Luken’s director of Programming, said, “Both Larry’s Country Diner and Country’s Family Reunion are ideal additions to Heartland’s programming schedule.  These series bring the legends of country music straight into our viewers’ homes with their down-home, intimate settings.  We’re especially pleased to partner with Gabriel Communications to answer our audience’s demand for the return of both series.”
