Humanitarians For Animals Honored

  • Thursday, March 9, 2017

McKamey Animal Center will be honoring the accomplishments of volunteers, organizations, and groups that have made a significant impact on the lives of homeless animals throughout the Chattanooga area. The event is the Third Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner and Fundraiser and is on Thursday, March 16 from 6-9:30 p.m. at The Venue, 4119 Cummings Hwy. in Chattanooga.

According to Jamie McAloon, executive director, "This will be the 'event of the year' for McKamey Animal Center, as we honor those who so selflessly gave to ensure the animals of Chattanooga received safe shelter, the possibility of a new life, and protection from abuse. This event commemorates the accomplishments of the animal welfare and animal protection efforts within our community."

A reception and dinner will be a prelude to a program designed to inspire and lift the spirits while honoring individuals, organizations, and businesses that have dedicated time and resources toward the betterment of homeless animals.  Proceeds from the event go toward the care of the animals who are victims of animal abuse and neglect.
