Local author Jim Hartsell has released book two in the Boone series, Matching Scars.
Review for Matching Scars:
In “Pushing Back”, Boone, a teenager from rural East Tennessee, has to grow up much faster than most of his peers, and he’s trying as hard as he can not to turn out like his daddy. His story continues in “Matching Scars”. Boone struggles with the demands and temptations of the adult world with no family support. Taking help wherever he can get it, he finds his life making one unexpected turn after another.
Boone is no saint, not by any stretch of the imagination, and doesn’t have looks, money, or education to give him an advantage. The odds are stacked against him, but he’s trying, and encounters both assistance and obstacles along the way as he stumbles toward adulthood.
Mr. Hartsell is a lifelong East Tennessean, and currently lives with his wife Suzanne in Corryton at the base of House Mountain. He is a member of the Author’s Guild of Tennessee. “Matching Scars”, along
with “Pushing Back” and his other books, can be found at the Guild’s website, and on Amazon in both print and Kindle versions.
