Alma "Dee Dee" Lunsford, 84, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lunsford; parents, Gus and Gladys Wilson; second mother, Viola Wilson; sisters, Frances Benton, Ruth Stewart, Delores Womac and Linda Hicks; and brothers, Carl, Bill, and Bob Wilson.
Ms. Lunsford was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Delilah and Ron Middlebrooks of Chatsworth, Linda and David Wright of Chatsworth and Donna and Leroy Welch of Dalton; sister, Sue Stafford of Athens, TN; brother, David Wilson of Athens, TN; sister-in-law, Catherine Lunsford of Athens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Pat Lunsford of Dalton; grandchildren, Adam, Angela, Tiffany, Lisa, Jeff, Holly, Neil, Deron, Angie, Tony, and Tim; 22 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hamilton Hospice and caregivers Tiffany Bowling, Linda Wagnon, and Lisa, Justin, and Alex Middlebrooks for the love and care.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wood officiating. Burial will be in Tunnel Hill Cemetery. Grandsons and special nephew will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 12, from 5-9 p.m.
