Lee’s Opera Theatre To Present Opera Scenes April 23

  • Thursday, April 13, 2017

The Lee University Opera Theatre, directed by James Frost, will perform Opera Scenes in the Squires Recital Hall on Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m.

The performance will include operatic scenes from well-known operas such as “The Marriage of Figaro,” “The Magic Flute,” “Falstaff,” “Fidelio,” “Faust,” “La Bohéme,” and “The Consul.”

According to Mr. Frost, associate professor of music at Lee, the opera scenes program is one in which every participant of the Opera Theatre sings a solo role in one of the scenes.

“Some of the scenes will be in the original language, but there will be translations to aid in the enjoyment for the audience,” said Mr. Frost.

This is a free, non-ticketed event, and open to the public. The Squires Recital Hall is in the Humanities Center on the Lee University Campus.  For more information, contact Frost at jfrost@leeuniversity.edu.
