Mayfield Elementary hosts Science Night on Thursday, 5:30-7:00 pm. First and Second grade students and their families are invited to this hands-on science experience led by Dr. Jason Robinson of Lee University. Cleveland High School Theater Department presents its spring musical The Drowsy Chaperone.
Show times are this Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:00 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm, and Monday, April 24 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students. All shows will be presented in the Betsy Vines Memorial Theater at Cleveland High School. This spring’s musical performances are dedicated to Mrs. Shirley Pace who is retiring this spring. Ross Elementary and Yates Primary host the Father/Daughter Spring Dance on Thursday, 6:30-8:00 pm. Girls are invited to bring their dads, or any important man in their life, for an evening of fun. Blythe-Bower hosts the Spring Carnival on Friday, 5:00-8:00 pm. Students and their families are invited for an evening of fun with games, inflatables, food,  silent auction and more. E. L. Ross presents Disney's Sleeping Beauty Kids on Friday, 6:00 pm and Saturday, 3:00 pm at Cleveland Middle School. Made possible by a grant from the Allied Arts, Sleeping Beauty Kids follows the traditional Disney plot. Come see Maleficent, Aurora, and the rest of the cast as true love conquers all! The Fifth Annual Southeast Tennessee Math Tournament is Saturday, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm at Lee University’s Science & Math Complex. More than 300 students in grades 4-8 from all across the region will gather to compete and display their mathematical prowess. Consisting of three different events – an individual test, a team test, and a quiz-bowl style buzzer round, the problems are clever, engaging, and challenging, and the atmosphere is exciting for students and teachers alike.
