After a talent-packed round of auditions on Saturday, April 8, nine finalists have been chosen to compete in the first annual Scenic City Sing-Off on Thursday, May 4, from 6:30-9 p.m. at The Church on Main.
The finalists are: 1. Amy Calfee; 2. Leah Carroll; 3. Caroline Dale; 4. Kandis Guice; 5. Ivy Hall; 6. Alyssa Land; 7. Hannah Morse; 8. Spencer Morse; and 9. Cherish Varlack.
The 10th finalist spot went to the ‘Internet Favorite’ contestant, whose YouTube audition video received the most ‘likes’. The ‘Internet Favorite’ competitor in the live finale will be: 10. Sarah Grayce Crouch.
The 10 finalists will perform live before the audience, and a panel of judges will choose the winner as the event’s finale.
The 2017 judges are singer Robin Grant; D. Williams Dance Company Owner Devonte Williams; and Nooga.com’s Sean Phipps.
The audience will also have a chance to cast their vote with dollars after each finalist’s performance. The contestant with the most dollars will win a $250 ‘People’s Choice’ prize. The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
Tickets for the event are $35 per person. Tickets include entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine.
