William Henry "Bill" Fields, 81, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Fields and Alice Barnes Fields; sons, William Henry Fields, Jr. and Larry Fields; daughters, Olivia Fields and Jan Fields; and brother, Roosevelt Fields.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Cobb Fields; sons, James Fields, Jack Fields, Raymond (Linda) Fields, Marvin (Leola) Fields, Patrick Fields, Keith Fields, Oliver (Anita) Cobb, Kerry (Sheryl) Cobb and Prince (Caron) Cobb; daughters, Alice (Elgia) Coley, Rosa Grant, Stacie (Levi) Kilgore and Lisa Scruggs; sister, Mary Phillips; brother-in-law, Charles (Arvella) Starling; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 22, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Windell Smith and other ministers officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday, April 21 after 11 a.m. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
