Myrl Swanson
Myrl Stanley Swanson, 78, of Rossville, went to be with the lord on Friday, April 20, 2017. He was a Christian.
He and avid outdoorsman loved hunting, fishing and was an avid Vols fan. He was a very loving husband, father and pawpaw.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alfred and Gladys Swanson; one daughter, Della Swanson; one son, Myrl Stanley, Jr.; one sister, Dolores Hooper; three brothers, Morris, Warner and Carol Swanson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Swanson; two daughters, Shanda ( Alan) Vann, Sharon (Don) Kidd; five sisters, Ruth Bates, Gladys McAlister, Nina Riley, Darlene Burrell and Linda Hickman; three brothers, Lynn Swanson, Ralph Swanson and Jim Swanson; four grandchildren Mickie Vann, Gabriel (Eden) Vann, Jason (Jamie) Rowlette, Russell Barnes; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 24, from 12-3 p.m. at the Ringgold Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastors, Craig Westbrook, Jackie Swanson. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
