Herbert H. Weaver, 88, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Mae Weaver; and sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Rembert Holmes.
He attended Royal Baptist Church and was a member of Modern Woodsmen of America. He was a Veteran of the US Army and served in Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Ella Mae Weaver of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl & Wayne Hendrickson of Ellijay; sons & daughter-in-law, Larry and Lisa Weaver, Terry Weaver all of Tunnel Hill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and the late Rev. Erwin Crider of Rocky Face, Ruth and the late Floyd Fryer of Dalton; grandchildren, Cassidy Langham, Crystal Welch, Mandy Weaver, Travis Weaver, Alec Shamblin, Willy Shamblin, Kenny Shamblin, Dusty Weaver and Len Hendrickson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Crider will be officiating the service. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 22 from 5-8 p.m.Y
