Paul Eugene Pullen, 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died peacefully at home Friday afternoon, April 21, 2017.
Son of the late Robert and Lucretia Pullen, he was also preceded in death by siblings Homer Pullen, Ruth Carter, Herbert Pullen, Louise Kinser, Ishmael “Red” Pullen, Charlie Pullen and Dorothy “Tommy” Prichard.
Pullen was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church and had served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland/Bradley Public Library and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland State Community College Foundation. He retired as an executive with Raytheon Company in 1993 and was an Executive Fellow with the W. Michael Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University.
He is survived by his wife Frances Manly Pullen of Cleveland; his daughters: Lucy Pullen and husband Scott Ferson of Belmont, MA and Amy Pullen and husband Nathaniel McIntosh of Lexington, MA; grandchildren, Andrew Ferson, Cate Ferson, Ethan McIntosh and Lydia McIntosh; sister Frances Jenkins of Chattanooga; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Cleveland/Bradley Public Library or to a charity of one’s choice will be greatly appreciated.
Visitation will be at Broad Street United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 25, from 4-6 p.m.
A private burial will take place at a later time.
