2017 Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga Announces Effect On Walker County And The City Of Chickamauga

On Sunday, May 21, portions of the bicycle route for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga will go through Walker County and the City of Chickamauga.  In order to cause minimal impact on the public and provide safety for all, law enforcement officers will be located at all major intersections beginning at 8 a.m. and will remain until the conclusion of the race.  

Cyclists will abide by Georgia bicycle laws while traveling on Georgia roads unless otherwise directed by officers.   The event will be open course; there will be no road closures along county roads, however Gordon Street in Chickamauga will be closed for spectators. Expect delays along the race route; alternate routes are recommended.
