GDOL To Co-Sponsor A Job Fair In Rock Spring

Job seekers in the LaFayette area will have the opportunity to meet with about 30 employers with positions to fill during the job fair held in Rock Spring in May.

The job fair is being co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) LaFayette Career Center, along with the Chattooga, Dade and Walker counties chambers of commerce.

The job fair will be held on Thursday, May 11, from 3-7 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center located at 10052 U.S. Highway 27 in Rock Spring.

Employers who have registered and offer a variety of jobs include: Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Care, Audia Plastics, Clumpies Ice Cream, Coca Cola, Dixie Collision, Dollar General, EnviroGuard, Hammer Down OC, Hayes State Prison, Jimmy Simpson Foundation, Komatsu America Corporation, Lake Winnepesaukah and Lookout Mountain Community Services.

Along with Mohawk Industries, Primary Health Care Centers, Quality Machine, Rock City, Roper Corporation, Ruby Falls, Sprint, Shaw Industries, Vanguard National Trailer Corporation, Victory Sign Industries, LTD., Walker County Emergency Services, Walker County Sheriff Department, Walker State Prison and Walmart.
