Will Taylor
William Jessie Taylor, 47, of Birchwood, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Will was born at the Naval Base in Groton, Ct., on Nov. 12, 1969. He was born with spina bifida and spent a lot of time at various hospitals. He received a Certificate of Education from Central High School in 1989 and was honorary Purple Pounder football team member.
Will attended the Signal Centers Adult Program in Chattanooga about three days each week. He was employed as an usher at the Northgate Theater for the past 13 years where he greeted guests with a smile. He worshipped with the Ware Branch Church of Christ in Harrison, Tn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Sparkman and Wilma Geneva Sparkman of Memphis, and James L. Taylor and Zanice Taylor of Athens, Al.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Ernestine Ulrey (husband, Mark Ulrey) of Birchwood, father, James Lauvon Taylor-Brown (wife, AlisonTaylor-Brown) of Ozark, Ar., and sibling, James L. Taylor III and wife, Leslie W. Taylor (nieces, Kathryn Taylor, Lauren Taylor) of Tupelo, Ms.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Ministers Doug Ferguson and Raleigh Wooten officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2–4 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, at the funeral home.
