This weekend, prospective students and families will have the chance to see what life at Lee is like in just 30 hours, offering a glimpse into the unique mixture of clubs, people, cultures, and opportunities that the university comprises.

“Lee Day gave me a true picture of the incredible community that Lee has to offer,” said Madeline Quinn, sophomore discipleship ministries major from Marietta, Georgia. “As I met future peers and friends, I was also blessed to meet my future (and current) roommate. To this day, she is one of my best friends.”

The weekend will feature chances to sit in on student-favorite classes, dine with students and faculty, register for fall 2017 courses, opportunities to check out various clubs, worship with the campus community, and win a scholarship.

Families will have opportunities to tour the campus and dormitories throughout the weekend. Parents will have the chance to talk with Lee president Dr. Paul Conn and the Financial Aid staff during a parent-only lunch event.

“Lee Day is the largest recruitment event of the year and we are excited to welcome hundreds of students and families to our campus,” said Phil Cook, vice president for enrollment. “For many years Lee Day has been the primary reason students decide to enroll at Lee University. We expect this year to be no different.”

The family-friendly schedule also includes block parties, theatre productions (“Oliver!”), various sporting events, and “Life at Lee,” a student-led comical look into the everyday adventures that take place in the lives of Lee students.

A highlight of the weekend is the outdoor concert on Friday evening on the Lee soccer field featuring Bethel Music Collective’s Josh Baldwin and Paul and Hannah McClure.

“Without a doubt, this is the best time during the year to visit Lee!” said Danny Murray, Lee Day committee chairman.
