Charlie Mae Conner Ford, 82, passed on April 1, 2017 in a local hospital.

Charlie Mae was a member of the Howard High class of 1952. She was a life-long member of the New Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her grandsons, Jakobi and Jabari Johnson; son, Lynn D. Ford; daughters, Johnna Ford (Gerald) Johnson, Tiffinee Ford (Ellis Johnson) and step-daughter, Deborah (Robert) Lollar; brother, Frank Conner; sister, Ella Moore; sisters-in-law, Daisy Mae Ford and Pearlie Mae Conner, Bertha Ford, and Annie J. King many loving cousins, nieces and friends, dear friends, Clara Bryant, Laura McDougal and Mildred Keith.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 8, at noon at New Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Clark Williams officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, April 7, and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Homes, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
