Body Of Tammy Hall, 47, Found In Trunk Of Car After Wreck On Norcross Road; Joshua Mincy Charged With Her Murder

Joshua Mincy, 25, has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm (convicted felon), possession of a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony, abuse of corpse, driving on revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident

Chattanooga Police said Mincy tried to flee, but was taken into custodyabout 100-200 yards from the wreck.

A number of people at the scenie identified Mincy as the driver of the wrecked vehicle. A number of witnesses noted his large number of tattoos.

Police discovered a Bersa .38 caliber firearm in a creek not far from the wrecked vehicle.

Other officers at the scene noticed blood on the rear bumper and then discovered the deceased female. She had an apparent gunshot wound, in the trunk of the crashed vehicle.

One witness told of driving south on Norcross Road and seeing a dark-colored, four-door sedan leave the roadway and hit an unknown object. 

Mincy is being held on bonds totaling $$711,500.

Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively working the investigation. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.
