Pinch hitter Hunter Jones hit a grand slam in the seventh inning, leading the Birmingham Barons to an 8-6 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Wednesday.
The grand slam by Jones, part of a six-run inning, tied the game 6-6 before Jake Peter hit a two-run home run later in the inning.
After Birmingham crossed the plate for two runs in the second inning, Chattanooga took a 6-2 lead behind a two-run home run by Levi Michael and a two-run single by Edgar Corcino.
Colton Turner (4-1) got the win with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief while Mason Melotakis (2-1) took the loss in the Southern League game. Brandon Brennan retired the side in order for his third save of the season.

Thursday night the Lookouts open a five-game set against the Biloxi Shuckers.
ROSTER CHANGES:
RHP Todd Van Steensel has been placed on the D.L. with right groin strain
RHP Alex Wimmers has been transferred from Extended Spring Training to the Lookouts.
The unusually reliable Mason Melotakis gave up two home runs in the sixth.
