National Trails Day At The Chickamauga Battlefield Is June 3

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and the American Hiking Society are looking for volunteers for National Trails Day on Saturday, June 3, at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers should meet at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center (3370 LaFayette Road) and can expect to return to the visitor center at approximately 12 p.m.

Tools and supplies will be provided, and all volunteers are asked to wear long pants with sturdy, close-toed shoes. If planning to volunteer, please RSVP by emailing will_wilson@nps.gov or by calling 752-5213 x137. 

Each year, on the first Saturday of June, the American Hiking Society and the trails community invite Americans of all ages and abilities to find their own adventure and to discover their unique story at one of the thousands of events hosted throughout the country.
