  • Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Noontunes, a weekly midday concert series, kicks off its second year in Miller Plaza Wednesday. Sponsored by Millennium Bank, Noontunes is a Wednesday showcase at noon featuring a variety of local Chattanooga musicians. The first week’s performer will be country singer songwriter Lew Card. Subsequent artists for the remainder of the season include R&B artist Swayyvo, Americana group Caney Creek Company, indie performer Side Affect and jazz musician Gino Fanelli.

All 13 musicians will have a unique performance opportunity and provide detailed insight into their musical backgrounds along with performing an original take on Glenn Miller’s “Chattanooga Choo Choo” song.

Each performance will be open to the general public free of charge, live streamed by EPB Fiber Optics and recorded and aired on Thursday night’s on WUTC.

The first show is Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. Subsequent shows will be held every Wednesday for the remainder of May through June and July.

Concerts will be held inside the Waterhouse Pavilion in Miller Plaza – 850 Market St.

This is the second year for Noontunes, and the program’s goal is to grow Chattanooga’s music economy. This River City Company program sponsored by Millennium Bank is made possible through our partners SoundCorps, Chattanooga Convention & Visitors Bureau, Jazzanooga, WUTC, EPB Fiber Optics and River City Sessions.
