James Floyd Forester, 69, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017.
He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. He retired from Combustion Engineering. He was a member of Shadow Ridge Worship Center. James loved to farm and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Purdle and Onnie Forester; brother, Carl Forester; sisters, Elizabeth Sumner, and Virginia Brownfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Christine Forester of Cohutta, GA.; daughter, Karen (Sidney) Veal of Poulsbo, Washington; brother, Troy (Dorothy) Forester of Dalton, GA.; grandchildren, Kacey Veal, and Blake (Marissa) Veal; great-grandchildren, Addison Veal, and Hayley Veal; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Billy Cantrell officiating.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 22, at the funeral home.
