Carolyn Sue Valliere, member of SUMC, fought the good fight for 11+ years and left Wednesday, May 17, 2017, for comfort of her heavenly home.
While an earthly resident, she served cervical/spinal cord rehab patients, was an ICU surgical nurse, helped with animal rescues, Tennessee Aquarium, secret-shopper, and night manager for Marriott in which she took great pride. Carol enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, yard sales, watching sports, and collecting.
Carol, a sensitive and tortured soul, left behind a brother, Gary Valliers, daughter, Stephanie, granddaughter Serenity Dawn, proclaimed sister Donna V. Akehurst, and extended family Daniel Wilkey. Proceeding her in heavenly journey were Richard and Kathryn (nee Yates), and Thompson birth-family.
And per Carol’s expressed wishes, there will be no memorial service or burial. Her earthly body is to be gifted to UTK Forensic Anthropological Research Facility. Gifts, donations or volunteer hours are to be directed to Soddy Daisy Health Center, UTK Dept. of Anthropology, animal shelters, or hats/items for cancer patients c/o Rees Skillern Cancer Institute.
