Ray Lindsey, age 54 of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his residence.  

He was born in Maryville, Tn., and spent the majority of his life in McMinn County and was of the Christian faith.  Ray loved spending time outdoors fishing, going to Cades Cove, panning for gold, and visiting the Field of the Woods in North Carolina for fishing, hiking and caving.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Lindsey and Ruth Everett Lindsey, and his twin sister, Jane McCarter.

Survivors include four children, Rachel Musgrave and fiancée Tony Hurst of Lenoir City, TN, Joshua Lindsey of Georgia, Nicholas Lindsey and fiancée Carrie Powers of Athens, TN and Jeremy Lindsey of Englewood; two grandchildren, Kevin Ervin and Lily Musgrave; two sisters, Alice Lindsey of Harriman and Evelyn Hamby of Maryville.

At Ray’s request, there will be no formal service.
