MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Ooltewah pitcher Kayla Boseman has hit her stride in the postseason.
Boseman fired her second no-hitter in as many games Tuesday as the Lady Owls whipped Dyer County 6-0 in the TSSAA Class 3A state softball tournament. The hard-throwing right-hander struck out 15.
On Friday, Boseman no-hit Lawrence County and fanned 14 in a 6-0 sectional victory that gave the Lady Owls (33-8) their second trip to the state tourney in three years.
Ooltewah is scheduled to play Gibbs (40-9-1) on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Boseman faced 22 batters in the win over Dyer County (19-16), one over the minimum.
She was backed by a 10-hit attack and four players combined for eight of those hits.
Tyler Sullivan and Ally Chernak each went 2-for-3 and Tiera Lemon and Shelby Sutton each had two hits in four at-bats.
