Edna M. Link, 89, was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of the Benton area.
Born on September 14, 1927 in Benton, TN, she was a former employee of Hardwick Clothes and TN Enamel Company of Cleveland, TN. She loved to crochet and make crafts. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and always put the Lord first in her life.
She was the daughter of the late Robert (Bob) and Lucy Morgan McDonald and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Reverend Hoyt Link; brothers, Robert, Jr., Walter, J. M. and Johnny McDonald; sisters, Sue Moorhouse, Kate Long, Alice Moorhouse, Louise Bates, Blanche McDonald and Dorothy Bishop.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonita (Johnny) Bates of Benton, TN; granddaughter, Stephanie (Mike) Zuidema of Smyrna, TN; great-grandson, Ryker; sister, Mary Lou (Eddie) Franks of Benton, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, Tn., with Reverend Wilfred Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home.
