Carol Farmer
Carol Jean Farmer, 68 of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Pentecostal faith. Carol was previously employed with Hutcheson Medical Center and more recently with Walmart as an Associate. She loved spending time at Myrtle Beach and she had a passion for Antiques. Carol was a special sister, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was a blessing to everyone, with a heart of gold now an angel going back home to God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margie Elizabeth Farmer and three brothers, Paul, John and Jerry Farmer.
Survivors include her children, Becky Barber and fiancé, Roger Diuguid of Fort Oglethorpe, Cindy Barber and Tony Barber both of Fort Oglethorpe; two brothers, Hurley Farmer and Roger Farmer both of North Carolina; two sisters, Juanita Cooper of North Carolina and Julia Barber of Rossville, GA; two granddaughters, Tara Diuguid and Rebekah Diuguid; five great-grandchildren; her fiancé, Gary Sutherland and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor David Hammontree officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
