U.S. Army Veteran Was Owner Of Bethune's Garage For Over 30 Years

Gerald Lee Bethune, 84, of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Rossville area, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was former owner and operator of Bethune’s Garage for over 30 years and was a classic car enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bethune; parents, Calvin and Georgie Elliott Bethune; brother, Ernest Bethune and two sisters, Irene Schmitt and Louise Puryear.

He is survived by three children, Lebron (Karon) Bethune of Rossville, Violet Ann (Rob) Watkins of Rossville, and Rex Bethune of Rossville; five grandchildren, Heather Franklin, Crystal Franklin, Kacie Garrison, Katie Cook and Olivia Bethune; five great-grandchildren, Halie Young, Kalie Young, Kelcey Young, Nick Young and Noah Garrison, several nieces and nephews.

At Mr. Bethune’s request, there will be no services. There will be a Celebration of Life Classic Car Cruise In at a later date.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
