Meridian, Miss. --- Chattanooga area racer Arva Lee “Booger” Brooks took a travel weekend for Memorial Day holiday, loaded his Sportsman # 148 “Wrinkle Construction, Bayless Concrete, Wraps by Outlaw, Mellencamp Construction, Shackleford Enterprises, Johns Recycling, Shortys Shocks Service, Todd Morrow Racing, Hickman Manufacturing, Sams Restaurant Equipment, Rock Springs Tire, Stealth Racing Carburetors, Close Racing Supply” sponsored machine and headed Southwest about five hours to compete at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss., for a few days.

Brooks entered and won both Sportsman features, the first coming Friday night, before dominating Saturday’s feature against nearly 18 competitors. For the weekend haul Brooks pocketed over $1,000 for his efforts, while also competing in the Street Stock class both nights. The second generation Chattanooga native races locally when possible, but likes to stretch his legs over the road and test out the competition in other Southeastern cities.

Next up for Brooks is a trip to North Georgia Speedway in Dalton/Chatsworth on June 3rd.

Brooks is followed by many on his Facebook page.
