Neither rain nor winds will prevent the rescheduled groundbreaking for the Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital from taking place Monday, beginning at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend this milestone event, both for Erlanger and residents of Chattanooga and this region.
As previously announced, elected officials and hospital representatives will be on hand to help celebrate breaking ground at 804 Holtzclaw Ave.
This 88-bed hospital is a joint effort between Erlanger and Acadia Healthcare, which owns the nation’s largest network of mental health facilities.
The two-story, 69,000-square foot facility is being built on the corner of North Holtzclaw and Citico Avenues. It will include 24 beds for geriatric patients, 24 for adults, 18 for children and adolescents, and 22 for substance abuse patients. This is a much-needed treatment center that has received overwhelming support from the community, said officials.
Parking will be provided for attendees at the groundbreaking site.
