Cleveland City Schools celebrates National Teacher Appreciation Week and the dedicated faculty and staff in all our schools. Show your support and thank a teacher who made a difference in your life.


Cleveland Middle School hosts Shadow a Raider days for 5th graders from every elementary school. They will visit CMS and "shadow" a 6th grader as they visit a related arts class, a core subject class, and lunch. The 5th graders will get a glimpse of the middle school experience next to a 6th grade student.

George R. Stuart Elementary hosts the Spring Book Fair all week. Students can shop daily from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Families are invited to shop on Tuesday and Thursday until 6:00 pm. For more information contact Edie May, 423-476-8246, emay@clevelandschools.org.

The Ross Rocket Scientists will participate in the Science Olympiad Competition at Chattanooga State on Tuesday. These two teams of students have studied and practiced throughout the year to compete in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) events. Cleveland City Schools will welcome the 2021 cohort for Tennessee Valley Early College, a partnership between Cleveland State Community College and Cleveland High School, on Thursday, 5:00 pm in the CHS library. Students and parents will discuss pathways, registration, and expectations for the upcoming program with representatives from both CHS and Cleveland State. Stuart Elementary hosts the Kindergarten Sneak Peak for the class of 2030. Students and parents will learn about the school, meet the kindergarten teachers, and become excited about their new home away from home at Stuart. Mayfield Elementary 2nd grade classes host the Famous American Wax Museum presentation on Friday, 12:00-1:30 pm. After researching and practicing their speaking skills, these students will be dressed as famous Americans. Come and see the hard work of these students. Arnold Memorial hosts Family Movie Night on the Field this Friday, 8:30 pm. Students and families are invited to watch the movie Sing. There is no admission charge; popcorn and soda will be free. Candy and assorted snacks will be on sale from the Arnold PTO. Arrive early with blankets and chairs to find a good spot and be ready for a great night of fun! Cleveland High School Theater Department present Squad Goals! on Friday, 7:00 pm and Saturday, 2:30 pm in the Betsy Vines Memorial Theater. This is a hilarious one-act play about the absurdity of every sports movie cliche from Rudy to Air Bud  Performances are directed by senior students, Seaton Dasher and Katie Rexroad.
