Joshua Cheeks
Joshua Devon Cheeks, 19, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, in a local hospital.
He was a 2017 graduate of Central High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Freda Sharpe, Lindsey Eddins, and M.C. Eddins; grandparents, Grover Cheeks, Sr., Eugene Skillern, and Jessie Windham.
Survivors include his parents, Grover and Wanda; brother, DeMarcus Cheeks; grandmothers, Laura Skillern of Chattanooga and Janie Eddins of Tuscaloosa, AL; aunts, Veronica (Stefan) Webb of Tuscaloosa and Freda (Tommy) Townsend of Chattanooga; uncles, Tyrone Hill, Andre (Michelle) Sharpe, Jeffery (Tina) Cheeks, Sr., all of Chattanooga, and Gregory Eddins of Alabama; special persons, Uncle John Eddins, Rick Rogers and the Class of Central High School 2017; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, June 3, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 3, at noon at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor James Calhoun as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
