The historic "Wren's Nest" at Monteagle is being offered for sale in an online auction.

Auction agent Brad Muse said the home has eight bedrooms and four baths and comes fully furnished. It has a one-acre bluff view lot.

He said, "It's a magnificent place to call home or escape to the mountains with family and friends or experience history with million dollar views.

"Enjoy Monteagle's small town accommodations, fine dining, rock climbing, hiking trails, and Sewanee, The University of the South."

He said all antique furniture is to stay with the home, as it has for decades.

The house at 53 Valley View Dr. features a large wrap around porch, wood burning fireplace, walk-in basement, full height daylight attic, and the famous "Wren's Nest" room with panoramic views.

A preview will be Saturday, June 24, from 3-7 p.m.

Bidding ends Tuesday, June 27, at 6 p.m.

Terms are 10 percent down day of sale with the balance due on or before 30 days. There is a 10 percent buyer's premium.
