GDOL To Host 2 Recruitments For FieldTurf In Calhoun Next Week

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Rome Career Center will help FieldTurf recruit 35 full-time manufacturing employees to work in Calhoun. The company manufactures synthetic turf for athletic fields.

The recruitments will be held on Thursday and Friday, June 22 and 23, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the FieldTurf facility, 175 North Industrial Blvd., N.E. in Calhoun. GDOL staff will be on site to assist applicants. 

The company is recruiting coater operators, lift truck operators, tufting machine operators and warehouse inventory clerks.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They also must have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma.

The lift truck operators are required to have at least six months of related experience. Applicants for the warehouse inventory clerk are required to have at least two years of related experience. The coater operators and tufting machine operators are not required to have experience.

Salaries will range from $10-$15 an hour depending on the positions.
