Poll Everyone On Police Chief Search

Re: Police Chief Search Community Survey

Really?  When did this happen?  My question is rhetorical in nature, as the article indicates May 16 through June 9.  Why did only 225 responses come back?  Could it be that not everyone within the city limits received this survey?  I know for certain that I did not.

I think that before a recommendation for a police chief, who will obviously manage the police force of everyone within the city limits, that everyone should have been given the opportunity to provide feedback.
I think that before Andy’s little five hand-picked search committee members offer no more than three candidates that the current survey be disregarded and the process restarted.

When a city the size of Chattanooga (167,674 per suburbanstats.org) only gets 225 responses to an assumed city-wide survey, there has to be some impropriety somewhere.

Quit trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Be sure that our eyes are open and we are watching.
