Updating What The Losey Brothers Are Doing Lately

Brothers Chuck and Erik Losey brothers, Chuck and Erik recently received the Strength and Conditioning coaching world’s highest honor and a new coaching position, respectively.

In mid-May, Chuck Losey, the strength and conditioning coach at Penn State, was honored at the CSCCA’s annual conference in Orlando, Florida, and was one of 18 coaches to receive the title of Master Strength and Conditioning coach.

Losey joined Penn State coach James Franklin’s staff in 2014. Losey was a three-year assistant on Dwight Galt’s strength and conditioning staff before leaving with Franklin for Penn State.

He also directed the speed, strength and conditioning at Tennessee State University from 2004-10.

Losey started 31 games at Vanderbilt from 1998-2002 and was the MVP on the defensive line his senior season.

Erik Losey, who attended the ceremony when Chuck was honored in Orlando, has left his position as an assistant coach at East Tennessee State University for a similar job at Southern Mississippi on Jay Hopson’s staff. He spent three years at ETSU as the Bucs resurrected their program in 2015 after being dormant since 2003.

Prior to ETSU, Losey worked for Hopson one year at Alcorn State, again as offensive line coach. In 2012, he coached tight ends and running backs at Campbell University and in 2011.

He was a quality control coach at Florida State from 2009-10. With the Seminoles, Losey helped assistant coach Rick Trickett while serving under coaches Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher and FSU won the Gator and Chick-fil-A bowls.

Losey began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at Western Kentucky as the Hilltoppers transitioned from FCS to FBS football in the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He played college football at ETSU and WKU and had a combined 47

The Losey brothers are natives of Hixson, Tennessee.
