Charles Edward Meeks, 67, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
He was born in Coalmont, Tn., to the late Jesse Meeks and Henry Campbell Meeks. Charles was an avid coon hunter and skilled cabinet maker.
Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Margie Lee Meeks of LaFayette; daughters, Tinamarie Hamilton of Calif., Charlee Ann Meeks of LaFayette and Carrie Lynn Meeks of Calhoun, Ga.; sons, Shaun Bevins of Texas, Dondi Anderson of Resaca, Ga., Elvis Locke and Jimmy Locke both of Ringgold; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Willie Mae Nunley of Flat Branch, Tn., and Carlene Wiltz of New Hampshire; brother, Paul Meeks of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 23, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor William Meeks officiating.
There will be no interment.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, from 12 p.m. until time of service.
