Joseph McCurry Claxton, 61, of Town Creek, Alabama, and a Virginia Beach native, passed away suddenly in Cleveland, Tennessee, on June 18, 2017.
Born Feb. 7, 1956. He was a God loving man, a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who never met a stranger. He touched many hearts and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Claxton; children: son, Mark Chairo, daughter, Jessica Claxton and husband, LeRoy Rose, daughter, Jennifer Claxton and step-daughter, Patience Stephens-Allen; 10 grandchildren; father, Robert J. Claxton, and brother, Robert "Robin" F. Claxton.
