U.S. Navy Veteran Was A Store Manager For Firestone

J. Randall Adams, 53, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee. 

 He was a 1981 graduate of Brainerd High School.  Randall was a veteran of the United States Navy and in 2005 he received his B.S. degree from Tennessee State University.  He was employed by Firestone as the store manager. 

Randall was preceded in death by his grandparents, Potries and Evie Lena Adams, Joseph and Cautho Rowe; father, Joe Alvin Rowe; aunt, Brenda Rowe; uncles, Charles Rowe, Victor Rowe, and Thaxton Rowe. 

Survivors include his loving mother, Portia Adams of Chattanooga; uncles, Reverend Jesse (Martha) Adams of Ocoee, FL and Larry (Beverly) Rowe of Chattanooga; aunts, Patricia (Charles) Mathews of Chattanooga, Sandra (Thomas) Moton of Rocky Mount, NC, Virginia Wyrick, Faye (Steve) King, Barbara Rowe and Cheryll Rowe, all of Chattanooga; extended family, Barbara Clay and family; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Visitation is on Monday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Thompkin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with Reverend J.R. Bridgeman as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
