Morgan, Larry "Mad Dog" (Charleston)

Larry “Mad Dog” Morgan, 66, of Charleston, passed away on Monday morning, June 26, 2017, at a local hospital.  

He retired from Bowater after 38 years of service. Larry was of the Christian faith and enjoyed golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlee and Augustes “Guss” Morgan.

Survivors include his children, Amanda (Glen) Byrd of Calhoun and Curtis Morgan of Charleston; four grandchildren, Emily, Melody and Elizabeth Byrd and Lilly Morgan; sister, Gaynell Lunsford and husband, Billy of Memphis; and the mother of his children, Yvonne Morgan of Charleston.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Watson officiating. 

His family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
