Chattanooga police officers, civilian employees, community members and partner agencies were recognized Thursday night at the Chattanooga Police Department Annual Awards Ceremony held at Calvary Chapel.
Each year the Chattanooga Police Department honors officers and civilians who’ve performed an exceptional act or served in an exceptional manner. The recipients represented examples of bravery, dedication and extraordinary work ethic.
“I got to finish my career in law enforcement doing what I like best, recognizing the sacrifice, heroics, and service of the men and women of the police department and our partners in the community," said CPD Chief Fred Fletcher.
By honoring these dedicated men and women, CPD not only shows the respect deserved for a job well done, but also highlights the standards and expectations of the department and the community it serves, said officials.
