Southern Adventist University is launching a search for servant leaders in greater Chattanooga. David Smith, PhD, president of Southern, will be hosting the Honoring Servant Leaders in Chattanooga President’s Gala in October.
During the event, three Servant Leader Champions will be honored, chosen from the following categories: youth (age 16-24), community (e.g. retiree or stay at home parent), and professional. They will be men and women who see the potential in others, invest in their futures, and encourage their successes.
To nominate a servant leader, visit southern.edu/gala. Nominations close July 31.
The gala will be held on Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Iles P.E. Center on the campus of Southern Adventist University. For information about the event or to become a sponsor, visit southern.edu/gala.
All proceeds from the event will immediately increase scholarships at Southern.
The volunteer committee overseeing the nomination process includes Ruth Liu, EdD, and alumni Franklin Farrow, ’93, and Tony Dahlberg, ’87, along with university staff.
