The Chattanooga Lookouts could not overcome a three run sixth inning by the Generals to drop their final home game of the first half, 3-2.
The game started off in the Lookouts favor as they scored a run in the second inning. They added another run in the fifth inning on a Nick Gordon home run.
Gordon's homer was was his fifth of the year. He finished the night 2-for-5 and is now hitting .307.
The two run lead looked like it would be enough as starting pitcher Ryan Eades, recently returned from the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings, was dominant through five innings. The righty only allowed one hit while striking out three batters.
Up 1-0 in the fifth, Chattanooga extended its lead when Gordon hit a solo home run.
The Lookouts lead would not hold, however, as Randy LeBlanc, who replaced Eades, was hit for three runs in the top of the sixth. Jackson scored three runs to take the lead for good. Kevin Cron hit a two-run single and Stewart James hit an RBI double en route to the one-run lead.
In the bottom of the ninth Chattanooga started the inning off strong with back-to-back singles by Ryan Walker and Nick Gordon, but the rally fell short. Generals' reliever Miller Diaz got Edgar Corcino to hit into a double play in the ninth inning.
Ivan Pineyro (4-0) got the win in relief while LeBlanc (2-2) took the loss in the Southern League game.
