Betty Massengill
Betty Jean McKenzie Massengill, 82, passed away on July 16, 2017.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Janice (Donald) King, James Edward Massengill, Alvin Massengill and William Bernard Massengill; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Ruth Armour and Mary Evelyn Lewis; one sister-in-law, Mattie McKenzie; dear friend, Evelyn Shropshire; other relatives and friend.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Robert Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, July 21, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
