Geraldine Elaine Adcox, 96, of Soddy Daisy, passed away at a local nursing home on Friday, July 21, 2017.

A native of Clinton, Missouri, Gerladine married Richard Adcox, Jr. and moved to Chattanooga where both were active in Brainerd community affairs and early founding members of Ridgedale Baptist Church.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, youngest son, Ronnie Adcox, brother, Jim Eib Jr. of Tucson, Arizona; and parents, James and Mabel Eib of Kansas City, Missouri.

Survivors include one remaining son, Douglas Adcox, daughters-in-law, Amparo Adcox and Linda Adcox, two grandsons, Mark and Michael Adcox, one nephew, Charles O’Neal, Philadelphia, PA; one cousin, Connie Bacon, Phoenix, AZ.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at National Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Sloan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
